Charlie Leaisure
Owner-CEO
I started my journey in the masonry field as a laborer, where my primary responsibility was carrying blocks and assisting the bricklayers on various construction sites. I quickly developed a passion for the craft and decided to pursue a career in masonry.
Over time, I honed my skills and gained experience in different aspects of masonry work, including bricklaying, stone masonry, and tuckpointing. I worked diligently to improve my craftsmanship and learn from experienced masons on the job.
As I gained more experience and expertise, took on more responsibilities and began working as a bricklayer. I worked on various projects, including residential and commercial buildings, where I focused on creating durable and aesthetically pleasing structures.
During this time, I also started learning about the intricacies of masonry restoration. I became fascinated with the process of preserving and restoring historic buildings, and I wanted to specialize in this area.
To further my knowledge and skills in masonry restoration, I sought out additional training and certifications. I attended workshops and seminars on historic preservation and restoration techniques, learning from industry experts and experienced professionals.
After years of hard work and dedication, I felt confident enough to start my own masonry restoration business. I partnered with Dave, who had extensive experience in the industry, and together we built Advanced Building Restoration.
As the owner of the business, I oversee all aspects of the operations, including project management, client relations, and team coordination. I ensure that our restoration projects are executed with the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Owning my own restoration business has been a fulfilling and rewarding experience. I take pride in preserving and restoring historic buildings, breathing new life into them while maintaining their original charm and character.

Secretary/Treasurer/Consultant
I have over 30 years of experience in the business and have worked on numerous buildings in Huntington, WV. After graduating from Marshall University with a business degree, initially had aspirations of owning my own business. I started my career in Chicago, specializing in restorations, and eventually decided to bring my skills back to the tri-state area.
Using the money I earned from painting and power washing, purchased the building for Advanced Restorations.
Throughout my career, have had the opportunity to work on prestigious projects such as the West Virginia Building, the Huntington Civic Center, the old Bazaar building (now known as the Market), Marshall University, and the Ironton and Cabell County Courthouse, among others.
Since 1981, I have dedicated myself to building strong relationships with architects, engineers, property managers, construction managers, general contractors, developers, and property owners.
